captionAnimator
Converts Final Cut Pro Captions to "burned in" Titles, with Style
captionAnimator uses one, or more, FCP Titles as a template to convert Closed Captions to open (regular) Titles.
You can use:
any built-in Title (static or animated), or
those from third party designers, or
your own custom title created in Motion,
as a template to convert, and optionally, animate your Captions into Titles.
Closed Captions are valuable anywhere audio is an issue, but they’re kind of boring and invisible until the final display. There’s no control over how they look, and they certainly don’t animate.
But Final Cut Pro has hundreds of static and animated Titles – with thousands more from other designers – so why not convert the Closed Captions into Titles using one or more Titles as a template.
And that’s what we did!

Ready, Set, Go!
Ready
Add Close Captions to your Final Cut Pro Project
Set
Add one, or more, Titles to your Project to use as a template for caption animation. Fine tune the color, size and animation in each of the Titles.
Go!
Drag the Project to the captionAnimator Workflow Extension, choose the Titles you want to use as a template, and click Go.
In a few seconds you’ll have a new Project with all your Closed Captions as Titles.
Completely Language Independent
caption Animator works with every language supported in Final Cut Pro.
The language in the Captions will be the language in the Titles.
Never leave FCP
captionAnimator runs as a Workflow Extension inside FCP. Simply drag your captioned Project to the Workflow Extension.
Unlimited Animation Options
captionAnimator uses any Title you have installed in your FCP, including those from third party designers.
Fully Customizable
In Final Cut Pro, set the font, size, color and any animation. This Title, with these settings, will be used as a template for the closed Captions when they are converted to Titles.
“I’m really glad that you made this app, like I said, it would be fast and easy for my workflow to get caption to Title for export burn-in with style.”
